8. When should I use Sequence Order Behavior, Any-Order Behavior, or Funnel?

Use Sequence Order when order matters and you need controls such as Any, Recurring, timing, or branching. Any captures intervening activity.

Use Any-Order for a required set whose order does not matter. It is simpler to build and skips unrelated activity. It has no wildcard or branching support; its system filters are Duration Length, Duration Difference, and Recurring.

Use Funnel to measure progression through fixed ordered milestones, automatically skipping activity that does not match the next milestone.

All three match within the same EventOwner.

9. How is a Funnel different from a Sequence Order query?

Funnel automatically skips nonmatching records while waiting for the next milestone. A basic Sequence Order path requires the next expected event; add Any to allow and capture intervening records.

Funnel does not expose the behavior builders’ timing, recurring, branching, or negation controls. It also does not restart an active occurrence when its first milestone repeats.

10. Does Any-Order require all selected events to occur?

Every positive event occurrence is required. An event marked Is Negation is checked for absence after the positive set qualifies.

OR in the system filter basket does not make events optional. The builder allows up to 10 event occurrences, including copies and a negated event.

11. Can one EventOwner have multiple matching sequences?

Yes. After a match completes, later records can form another sequence. Completed sequences do not reuse their records to enumerate every overlapping combination.

In Any-Order, an active candidate may also reset after a control fails. With negation, a qualified set stays under observation until it closes.
