In the Any-Order builder, it is a maximum duration check using less than or equal to.

Build the Query

  1. Add the required events to the event basket.
  2. Add Duration Length to the system filter basket.
  3. Click the filter to configure it.
  4. Enter Maximum duration in milliseconds.
  5. Click Apply filter.

You do not select individual events for this filter. It applies to the entire accepted set, including accepted repetitions when Recurring is used.

Example name:Verification completed within one day

Event basket:Identity Verified + Address Verified + Consent Received

System filter:Duration Length ≤ 86,400,000 ms (24 hours)

Illustration: Three verification events and Duration Length, with the Maximum duration dialog open.

How It Works

Duration Length = Last accepted record’s timestamp − First accepted record’s timestamp

zinzu checks the elapsed duration while collecting the required events. If the maximum duration is exceeded and Duration Length is required for the match, the current sequence closes as incomplete. The record that exceeded the window is reconsidered as the start of a new sequence.

With Duration Length ≤ 24 hours:

  • 23 hours: The condition passes.
  • Exactly 24 hours: The condition also passes.
  • 25 hours: That candidate set fails the duration condition.

A failing candidate does not permanently exclude the EventOwner. The engine can start collecting another candidate from a later record.

When to Use It

  • Find verification actions completed within 24 hours.
  • Find a group of feature-use actions within one hour.
  • Find operational checks occurring within a short processing window.

Note:Duration uses timestamps in your data, not the time zinzu takes to execute the query. 1 second = 1,000 milliseconds.
