From Source Records to Timelines
EventOwner identifies whose timeline is analyzed. Sequence ID identifies an individual sequence within that timeline.
Example: Records from Two Sources
These records come from two sources with different column names.
| customer_id | activity_time | action |
|---|---|---|
| C-101 | 10:00:00 | Product Viewed |
| C-101 | 10:01:00 | Added to Cart |
| C-202 | 10:02:00 | Product Viewed |
| C-101 | 11:00:00 | Product Viewed |
| C-101 | 11:02:00 | Added to Cart |
| buyer_id | payment_time | status |
|---|---|---|
| C-101 | 10:03:00 | Completed |
| C-101 | 11:05:00 | Completed |
Map customer_id and buyer_id as the EventOwner columns, and activity_time and payment_time as the timestamp columns. The names differ, but the ID values identify the same customer.
