Use the Controls Together
The controls answer different questions:
Example: Investigate slow checkout activity
- Choose a query time range relevant to the investigation.
- If data skew protection is configured, review whether its exclusions fit your question.
- Run an exploratory query with a smaller sampling percentage.
- Inspect the patterns and refine the query.
- Give AI 5 or 10 sequences from a relevant pattern.
- Increase coverage when needed: more owners for the query, more examples for AI, or both.
- Data skew: Should exceptionally large owner histories be included?
- Sampling: How many owners should this query analyze?
- AI limit: How many matching examples should AI examine?
Keep exclusions and sample sizes in mind when interpreting the results.
